Preliminary Diagrams

We might start with another type of diagram...Many systems studies esp that of Vester rely on us starting with a "rich picture". This will tend to be "objects". We then need to convert the objects to variables by asking the question "what is it about this thing/object that matters here?"

We could have a CLD that someone else has created. Engage with it by using the questions in Checking your CLD.

Here is an example of an Entity Relationship Diagram. It is not a causal loop diagram but could be the basis for one.
